Discover The Secret Garden at Horbury Bridge | Wakefield Playgym
The Secret Garden is a delightful and spacious play gym and cafe in Horbury Bridge, Wakefield; and is just 5 minutes away from Yorkshire Coal Mining Museum if you have an older child or want to split your day out into two shorter visits.

Ruby is now 6 but the playground does cater for various age ranges from crawling up to 9 years, due to the three separate play frames. The centre has three large slides and smaller slides for little ones who are protected from being trampled on. Parking is available immediately outside the venue and it is highly visible from the main road.

When we arrived on Sunday mid-morning, the venue was being cleaned before we were quickly let in and seated with coffee and cake. Ruby loved the spacious play frame and made a friend. I enjoyed some reading time and a homemade cookie.

Food and Drink at The Secret Garden in Horbury Bridge
The food is brilliant. No stale buns; everything is fresh and quite healthy. For example, Ruby ordered a picnic platter with fresh sandwich, fruit and cheese.

The venue also provide small birthday parties. One of the nicest play gyms I have visited in recent years.
