The Easter trail at Nostell has finished earlier than expected – due to popularity, eggs have now run out. Free Easter crafts will be on every day until 7 April 2024 from 11am – 5pm with last entry at 4pm and the playground and beautiful gardens are open as usual.

Don’t forget to strike a pose at the daffodil selfie station to capture a lovely memento of your day.

The house is open every day between 11am and 4pm.

All terrain pushchairs and wheelchairs are recommended.

The gardens open at 11am but the cafe is open from 9am if you fancy arriving a little early for a coffee. Sensory backpacks are available to borrow from the garden entrance (for both adults and children with ASD). Assistance dogs only in the gardens where the Easter trail takes place. Dogs are very welcome in the extensive parkland and in the rear section of the café.

There is a new trail in York organised by Make it York and St Leonard’s Hospice. Can you find all the Snooks?

The snooks are giant, friendly monsters who love books. Each one has its own unique design and are sponsored by local businesses. There are 21 dotted around the town centre and a little beyond too.

Such a fun way to explore the city and keep the kids amused too. You can pick up a map at the Visit York centre on Parliament Street in the centre of town.

Wind your way through Strid Wood, while on the lookout for our larger than life bunnies tucked away among the trees.

On arrival, you’ll receive a trail sheet from the Riverside car park kiosk. The trail then begins at the entrance to Strid Wood.

Find all of the giant bunnies, each of which holds a clue to help you to complete the trail sheet.
