York Food & Drink Festival

York Food & Drink Festival returns this autumn with ten days of delicious street food, local produce, live music, and family fun across the city centre. Around 70 stalls will line Parliament Street and St Sampson’s Square, offering tasty treats alongside free live entertainment.

Families can enjoy hands-on activities at the Food Factory in St Crux Hall and Museum Gardens on weekends, where children can get involved in food-themed workshops and demonstrations. There will also be plenty of free sampling, chef demonstrations, and interactive sessions throughout the week.

Look out for the Taste Trails (£10 per trail), where you can collect samples from around 20 venues across York – a great way to explore the city together. The festival also features special events including pop-up restaurants, comedy nights, the annual Pork Pie competition, and history-themed food experiences with Jorvik Viking Centre.

With street food, live music, family activities, and plenty to taste and try, York Food & Drink Festival is a celebration for all ages.
