I’ve really enjoyed a look back to see what you’ve all been reading this year and it’s given me some ideas of new posts for 2018. I have excluded my seasonal roundups (my post on family friendly bonfires is actually my most popular post of the year), class listings and giveaways from this list, but the rest are the most read posts of 2017. There’s a lot of round ups, days out and even a guest post in the mix.
6 family friendly summer festivals in the North of England is a post I will be updating for 2018! We loved our first summer of family festivals. We kicked the summer off (as in, headed out on the very afternoon of the last day of school) with The Deer Shed Festival and ended the summer with The Good Life Experience in September.
When I chose 10 new things to do during the summer I was a little too ambitious as in the end we only made it to 3 places on the list, but we have next summer to try out the remaining seven!
I had lots of help from the Yorkshire Tots community and fellow bloggers for this post about places to play in the water on a hot day. I felt like this past summer offered quite a few swim friendly days.. fingers crossed that 2018 is the same!
Pick your own strawberries is a post I almost didn’t write. It was an impromptu after school visit a few years back, but we had so much fun I decided to put a post together with the handful of photos I had taken. Now every year during strawberry picking season it gets lots of views from Google.
Aww.. the kids are so little in this review. We did the Room on the Broom walk in 2015 with my friend Emma who now has her own brilliant blog Hip2Trek where she shares her and her family’s walking adventures. Reading this post made me think we need to schedule in another family walk there soon.. I think Leo might even manage his way around without having to be carried now!
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! 10 fabulous Yorkshire ice cream parlours was one of Yorkshire Tot’s most popular posts this year and last because, let’s be honest, who doesn’t love some ice cream!
I wrote this post about indoor places to play in February of this year. No surprise at the timing, that’s when the cabin fever really sets in for me!
Ah.. kids and farms! My round up of farms to visit in Yorkshire with little ones has been viewed quite a lot since I wrote it almost four years ago. I do think we’re lucky to have so many farms to visit here in Yorkshire.
My post highlighting family walks that also involve food has been my most read post every year since I wrote it in 2014. It just goes to show I’m not the only one who likes to end a good walk with a slice of cake!
Thank you so much for your support, input in 2017. Thank you for reading and here’s to a fantastic 2018 for everyone!
